The Adventures of Tintin DVDs | Episode Guide

History

Belgium's greatest hero returns to remind children (or adults) around the world of his adventures. But don't get this programme confused with the 1967 version of the show, which looks similar, but the voices are different.

The Herg Foundation in conjunction with Ellipse Programme (France) and Nelvana Limited (Canada) converted 20 of the 23 Tintin stories into 39 episodes.

The look and feel of the books have been retained in the programme.

If you travel to Brussels airport, be sure to look out for the Tintin & Snowy statues that reside in the Arrivals area.

Story

You follow Tintin and his dog Snowy on their adventures around the world. They encounter various plots and with the help of his friends they try to foil them.

One of Tintin's closest friends is Captain Haddock who reluctantly follows Tintin on his adventures. He is an ex-merchant seaman who is known for his fiery temper and his love for Whiskey.

Later in their adventures they even make it to the Moon, via one of Professor Calculus's inventions - the Moon Rocket. The professor is an eccentric and looks at his pendulum for inspiration (also be careful not to upset him or suffer the consequences).

They also keep bumping into the Thomson Twins on their adventures. They are supposed to be in the intelligence service, but they bungle their way through life and would be spotted straight away by an enemy agent.
