Story

Every time Children go to sleep then 'Dream Base' takes over and watches over your dreams. Its run by the Commander and a bunch of sheep (do you get it? Counting sheep to sleep) who are on the lookout for any nightmares that the children may encounter.

These nightmares are two monsters called Snort and Mutter. They want to take over 'Dream Base' to spread their nightmares to all children.

But Dream Base have Dream Patrol, which is a fleet Dream Ships piloted by Captains to defend the children's dreams.

The top Captain is called Captain Zed who along with P.J. and his cat fly the Dream Ship into children's dreams to do battle.

Can they succeed, of course they can.

Captain Zed     (voiced by Julian Holloway)
He is pilots Dream Patrol 12A, which is a ship that is in the shape of a pillow and is powered by a feather drive. He comes out with witty one liners which seems to upset Captain Flannel a lot.

He can also speak to Dream Base via the microphone that sticks out of his head (yes it is one). His cat, 'Spring', lives in the cushion that is strapped to his back (it might be a parachute?). It's a strange cat, as it goes 'Woof!'.

P.J.     (voiced by Venus Terzo)
She is Captain Zed's co-pilot and together they try to complete their missions. I'm not sure what P.J. stands for?

Her catchphrase varies each episode, but goes something like this - 'Tommy has a scare factor of 4 and an embarrassment factor of 8'.

The Commander     (voiced by Wally Marsh)
I'm not sure why he is in charge of Dream Base as he seems to just look concerned and drink tea.

Captain Flannel     (voiced by Gary Chalk)
He likes to be called Captain Flann-el, but everyone else calls him Flannel. He is also part of Dream Patrol, but does not like Captain Zed.

The reason for this is that he wants to be the top Captain and eventually become the Commander of Dream Base. He's a bit of a cry-baby, but is very funny to watch.

Larry     (voiced by Dale Wilson)
He is the head sheep at Dream Base and has access to the central console there. He contacts all of the Captains to give them their orders / missions.

Larry has a very dry sense of humour and mocks Captain Flannel whenever he can (without Flannel noticing!).

Snort     (voiced by Jay Brazeau)
He is the leader of the two nightmares and his aim in life is to take over every child's dreams, by invading Dream Base.

He has the ability to change shape and became a character in your dream, and then tries to get the characters in your dreams to help in his attacks on Dream Base.

Mutter     (voiced by Ian James Corlett)
He is the down trodden second in command to Snort. He is always being bossed around and is a bit stupid.

He must be to put up with the abuse and to do all the dangerous work for Snort. He also has the ability to change shape.

Whoops - erm Dream Patrol Who's your friends?
